Trustee Profiles

 

Ian Moore

Ian Moore is an architect working as a partner in a private practice, specialising in the field of education and health for the last 28 years. He has served as a governor at a local Primary School for 16 years and for the last five years as Chair of Governors. He is married with four children all of whom attended local primary and secondary schools.

   

Roger Gook Vice Chair

Roger spent the first part of his professional life teaching in primary schools in Warwick and Cornwall. After a year travelling and teaching English in South America, he settled in Yorkshire to set up a specialist travel company in Sheffield. He moved to Ilkley twenty years ago and founded another successful travel company, which he ran until retiring two years ago.

Roger became a governor at Askwith Primary school in 2002 and the chair in 2010. He has been involved in developing the Harrogate and Rural Teaching Alliance and the Yorkshire Collaborative Academies Trust.
During his spare time, Roger pursues his interest  and involvement in environmental issues, cinema  and walking at home and abroad.

   

Martin Bellamy

Martin qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 with one of the Big 4 international accountancy practices, he then spent 10 years pursuing a career in banking before moving into industry where he has held senior management roles in financial services and insurance broking businesses since 2007.  Both his children attended one of our academy schools and he lives near Skipton.

   

Nigel Muttick

I am a finance Governor at Askwith School and have been part of the governing body for the last six years.  I have one child who currently attends the school and my oldest attended Askwith before moving onto secondary school. I believe  partnership working is vital for successful school improvement. 

I work for an international insurer in fraud management.  Outside of works I occasionally get to cycle my road bike in some wonderful Yorkshire countryside.

   

Don Parker CEO

I am an experienced headteacher who is committed to leading teaching and learning through self-improving collaborative practice. In recent years I have led the development of a teaching school and supported schools facing difficult circumstances.

I am a National Leader in Education.

   

Jo Robinson

I am an outstanding headteacher who is committed to collaborative working. My focus is developing joint practice development across schools to strengthen leadership and I have acted as an executive headteacher for schools facing difficult circumstances.

In 2015 I became a National Leader in Education.

   

Fiona Rogers

Fiona Rogers is married and has 4 children who all attended Bilton Grange. She has been a Governor there for over ten years. Fiona is a Registered General Nurse and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse) and is employed by Harrogate and District Foundation Trust as a Team Leader/ Practitioner  for the 5-19 Healthy Child Service. She is passionate about childrens’ health and well being and improving health outcomes for children and young people. She works closely with schools and other agencies to enable children to reach their full potential and live happy healthy lives.
