Metacognition for high quality teaching
This programme is being delivered in partnership with Red Kite Education and the Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon Locality Board to support schools in the Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon areas to understand and implement metacognition approaches in the classroom.
Who is this course for?
Primary and secondary school teachers, teaching and learning leads (not recommended for ECTs with existing comprehensive training).
Learning Outcomes:
Effectively implement appropriate metacognitive pedological approaches for your students to support high quality teaching leading to achievement for all.
Course Overview:
Explore the high leverage dimensions of metacognition for classroom adaptation, encouraging a disciplined inquiry approach to implement learning.
Dates:
The course will consist of a 'kick off' conference (full day on Friday 14th June 2024), 2 online sessions (1hour each), online peer learning community and a final showcase conference for half a day.
Cost:
This programme is FREE to schools in the Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon Locality Board region.
